arent we all blind sometimes?

hello.

i was going to go to Camden with meera and jenni today. i was also going to wear my new sunglasses (UV400! which means nothing to me) and my new hat, but the weather was extra crap today, all grey skies and rain in a California Dreaming kind of way. big whoop. i just made the world extra-gloomy. these contacts let in too much light anyway. and everything's extra big. like my desktop matt hales.

last night i went to bed at 4, got to sleep at around 5. the birds are chirping late. is it past midsummer already? how depressing. never mind, i'll just move to america for the sunshine and long summers.

at 10 am, i got a text from meera saying: 12.00 at golders green station outside tube entrance. xMx

we had previously arranged to meet at my house then we were going to take the bus to golders green. aggravated by the early morning wake up call i replied: the fuck? i thought we wer meetin at mine.

her reply said: ye i no. wer meetin jen der.

sometimes i think that meera's a bit simple.

i said: if u cum before 1130 ill ave to gut u alive. 5 hours sleep isnt pretty.

anyway, 10 am. i couldn't get back to sleep cos my dad was on the phone. our entire family has bloody annoying deep voices that are very audible even when very quiet. not having abandoned the sleep idea altogether, i played aqualung very loud to cover the noise. however, aqualung is practically bassless and matt hales has a lovely high voice that does nothing to conceal my dad's telephone conversation. (i have now learnt my lesson so RUTH is currently being blasted into my ears. thank you steve.)

did i mention that yesterday i was woken up by the sound of my window being cleaned? the man was talking to himself (i hope). it was bloody distressing.

so i never did get back to sleep. Can't Get You Out Of My Mind is a beautiful song. it also has a stupidly long name which takes forever to type. 45 minutes later my (phone) alarm went off. i thought it was a text and stopped the snooze by mistake. so i got up to put my contacts on.

got to golders green and had lunch in a noodle bar. listened to jenni talk about two james'. ticca has more, though. decided against trudging around Camden in the rain, so we stayed in jewdom.

went to several shitty clothes shops and laughed at stuff. then we went to blockbusters to return a video. i managed to squeal at every jude law, jake gyllenhaal every film. realising that we weren't gonna take anything out, we loudly staged the following conversation:

meera: well, we can't take out anything today.
jenni: yeah, we'll get something out tomorrow.
me: well let's meet hre tomorrow same time.

then we went to costa because starbucks was full of children. we are mature individuals. we prefer the calm ambience of a mature coffee house which we can ruin with our pubescent squealing. we bought three hot chocolates and three 20 minute internet tokens. then we sat in three bar stools. you'd expect goldilocks to waltz in and drink little meerie's hot chocolate, wouldnt you?

the hour of internet was split thus: james anderson for jenni, mahesh bhujthi for meera and matt hales for me. and some BB4 jon, cos i like him. did you know that on the channel 4 site, you can type in crap like "ben hales is a literary genius" for him to say as the thought of the day?

we also read introduced meera to the world of fanfiction.net hp slash, twincest etc etc. ("lame," says ticca and i) then we played on shockwave.com.

and then jenni bought some magazines and we read them in starbucks, but didn't drink anything. it's there to be abused, people.

then i said good bye to jenni and we went home. mainly by bus and then meera's mum gave us a lift. her sister mia and her friends were there (one of them is the girlfriend of one of my coach buddies, the one i keep running into) so there was much squeezing.

bored now. it's late. quick summary: big brother = fabulous. tickle - the fuck? saw remake of Psycho. hello very naked viggo mortensen.

ETA: 2:17. i obviously hadn't been watching BB4. however, i have been eating toast. and let me tell you that toast is best when warm with lightly spread butter but the butter cannot be soaked into the bread. so. when 2 pieces of toast pop up, you have to either compromise the heat, or the butter soakage cos it takes time to spread the butter and then eat the first slice of toast.

enter the Tickle Toaster: it keeps the second slice toasting while the first is buttered. the tickle said: Whats the problem with toast? Two slices pop up, you whip one out, spread the margarine. But by the time you get the second, the consistency has changed. Why not have a time delay? wow. i'm so in love.
