i�ve been reading reviews of The Gig That I Missed last night and apparently, the crowd was very noisy and rude. what assholes! and to Matt Hales no less. i�d like to quote Stephen Fry in Wilde, but i don�t know the quote, something like, �how could someone be so cruel to one so beautiful?�

well. that sort of justifies me not going to the gig. still. i did go to a chinese restaurant and let my newly washed hair absorb a lot of grease. actually it was quite cool. saw two cousins, evonne and elaine (sisters of the one who knit me the scarf. he�s working, so no show), and their mum (who doesn�t have SARS).

also saw my dad�s ex-boss/family friend, his wife and sons. one of them didn�t recognise me, which was refreshing because i am now TALL, so TALL, that i am, in fact, practically TALLer than him. just one of the benefits of hanging out with chinese people who haven't seen you in a while. a while being several years.

also of the cool is that the sons are geeks. one of them designs video games or something and the other one is the tech support of the tech support of the tech support... they were like,

�so did you see the matrix trailer? it came out officially today�

�i saw it before today�

�i�m talking about the EXTENDED version, you saw the TEASER.�

�yeah, where neo�s fighting all these agents...�

�...and there�s this bit where trinity jumps off a building and shoots at these agents backwards and then neo wakes up and its a dream�

�and those white agents the ones that turn into mist or something? they were driving...�

i missed ali g, but hey, i did see jackass. one where johnny knoxville�s nephew shit his trousers farting. quality entertainment indeed.
