arent we all blind sometimes?

okay. other things happened and are happening, including my first proper GCSE exam tomorrow, but the main, most important thing is that i told everyone that i'm moving to Houston in the summer. if you're reading this, you won't be surprised. i don't think other people are interested in this anyway.

but there we go - i'm moving continent.

it was all bitter in a very sweet sort of way. very sweet. i told several people at the lunch table. i was a bit hysterical and babbly and awkward. ("by the way, i'm moving...") they thought i was joking. i wish i recorded their reactions 'cause, whoa - very mixed. among the surprise and shock and sadness, there was a disturbing amount of: "you bitch! why didn't you tell me earlier?"

and i don't really have a good answer for that.

then a teary ticca told chess, so when i went back to the form room, they confronted me with teariness. so i went all teary, except that i'd cried myself dry last night. (you should have seen the e-mail i wrote to wongsiu, the keeper of my so called secret, i was about to short circuit the keyboard.)

then, i told my form while waiting for our form photo (i know, i am great-timing-girl), so if you look really closely when the photos come out, a couple of people are gonna look as if their smiles are forced. that's because they are.

then i had to tell a bunch of people in other forms. there was a lot of hugging. i swear, i have hugged at least 60 people today. phone number giving as well. we were not very close. there was more telling people when we took year photos. karen called meera to tell her. speaking of the K(huh. i know), she produced a card.

"that was quick," i said.

"i'm efficient," she said. (it was originally for our form teacher.)

i'm gonna look crap on those photos. crap hair from the hugging, crap smile from the not smiling.

we did all sing the school carmen without the latin while waiting. very nostalgic. which is from hell, says matt hales.(it like he's here reading over my shoulder. dream on little girl.)

by the way, it was the last day of compulsory school today. i.e. muck up day. the powers that be didn't let us have that much fun, but hey, that's expected. didn't even let us put up posters. said the ones with photos were mean. got to say, though, that one of the funniest ones didn't have a photo. "wanted: mafia gang leader. known to wear all black."

speaking of him, he wasn't in our lesson today. something about AS exams. blah, he set us two 150 word essays to do. that's more than the exam. bastard. (i know, this contradicts what i said last week, but hey, that's fickleness for ya) karen's french teacher, who not only happens to be the head of french, but is also the head of modern languages and speaks all languages. it was interesting to hear spanish in a french accent. even he took the piss out of senor's mono-colour (i.e. black) wardrobe. heh.

hey. if you're still reading this and was there today, i love you a lot. major understatement here. you were all there for me and making it less awkward, crappy and more nice and fuzzy and you rock.

but come on, i kept my secret well, didnt i?
