i�ve actually been thinking about this CD a lot these last couple of days. i have this incredible ability to get things by thinking hard about them. emails tend to come after i lie awake at night hoping that they�d come.

so Donut came early this morning, but i only discovered it 7 hours later when i eventually woke up (god, my dream was weird. i went to a chinese restaurant with my parents and aunt and uncle and suddenly saw people from the lower school i went to before the school which i now no longer go to. that was an awkward year. an awkward sentence also. anyways, i�ve been seeing those old friends a lot in dreamland (this is the third time, in fact). sort of a subconscious saying-good bye thing. then i saw babs, meera, karen and nay at another table. they had those sun-bed goggles and were planning to go get tans. but i wasn�t invited. so, if you are my friend, here�s what my dream meant: you don�t love me! i�m leaving! so call me and we can go out (preferably not to lie in a sun-bed).)

but you don�t want to hear about that. you want to hear about my love for RUTH. i love you, Romeo Unit Tango Hotel! i love you band-named-after-a-fictional-farmer�s-wife!

and my poor mother has to put up with this. if it wasn�t for her, i wouldn�t have discovered Donut. she told me to scan something for her, so i turned on the old iMac, went downstairs and got Donut. screamed and squealed running upstairs, went back downstairs, got the shipping instructions (whic hwas what i was scanning) and turned the scanner on, put Donut in the CD drive and forgot about the shipping instructions. i was prancing around like a fangirl to the Overture (heh) while my mum had to scan the shipping instructions herself.

CD 2! videos! wonderful wonderful moving videos in Technicolor! i tried the CD in the old iMac, then the PC. i downloaded everything for it and it still didn�t work. i gave up while listening to the 20 other tracks while washing the dishes.

and i come up here, to my trusty G4 iMac and it works. so it�s in grainy Quicktime format. so the audio is NOT in sync with the video. who gives a dump?

and there�s this dance move i that i have never seen before, it�s in the videos of Fear of Flying and I Don�t Know, where they look as if they�re attempting to slap their own arses but miss by a large distance. i was a small child during the early to mid all of the nineties, so did i miss something? *looks around*

you know what? matt hales reminds me of jenni, not because of my unrequited lesbian feelings for jenni, but because they both have a drama queen, emphatic-gesturing thing going on. it�s wonderful, you have to see her second year performance of, well, something to do with hilary clinton and monica lewinsky. no one got it, no one liked it, but it was a drama classic. �my bonnie lies over the ocean...�

back to matt hales. actually all of RUTH. so young, so enthusiastic. blame it on the lack of body fat, blame it on the fashions of the time, but they were all limbs with maybe a head attached.
