arent we all blind sometimes?
04.06.2004 ~ 4:45 am

i vowed that i would never update after 2 am again. my brain starts to fracture at that time, i start saying things that i think are really important and i regret it the morning (or afternoon, or early evening) after. perhaps it's shedding it's inhibitions. it's four now, so i'm going to say that i think best in bed. or in the shower. (this is so "...that on Monday purports to be fact that the Tuesday's decisions make fiction.")

i was finishing off About a Boy at 5:17 am yesterday and Will was talking about being in bed with Rachel. i like to wonder what everyone else is doing when i'm in bed. when i was in HK, it was quite simple - everyone else was also in bed, probably sleeping while i was perfecting these wannabe insomniac skills. then it got more complicated because of time differences. now it's even better.

i like to imagine people in bed. i like to imagine people's beds. mine looks like this, in case you're wondering.

it's 10 am in the UK. those on study leave or half term can lie in. maybe they're out running around already. i've never understood people who can do that. Matt loves it in bed. he must loff being in bed with his girl and his baby (his baby two?). what bed do they have? something wholesome and big and wooden, perhaps. i hope it's not that yellow oak (i had to add "yellow" because i just realised that my bed has classy oak veneer on it). his old flat had red and pink walls and was oak-y. how have they decorated their new house? would they do it to match the gothic harmonium? maybe Matt is playing the piano and singing to Kofi. maybe Ben popped by for a cup of tea and jam (musically and toastily). maybe i should stop now.

it's 6 pm already in HK. one of my aunts is getting home from work. another one might be cooking dinner, or waiting for my grandma to come home (not her home) from food shopping. and my grandad, probably downstairs chatting to his old people friends. the last aunt might be a) stuck at school, b) shopping, c) stuck in public transport or d) buying food off street vendors. the DGS girls are having fun now that they've finished their HKCEES (GCSE equivalent). they're shopping for Graddin - graduation dinner, even though they have two years left - a prommy affair that everyone blows out of proportion.

and here they're all sleeping. generally Dae and Tim are signed on to AIM but away at this time, but no one's on now. i think i've only seen Emily, Kristal and Zaib's beds. Kristal's headboard is a contradiction - it's got hearts and swirly things engraved in it, and a rather kinky mirror. i wonder what He's wearing.
