got home last night and realised i had no time to buy/download anything new. *cough*My Funny Valentine, I Believe in a Thing Called Love*cough*. so i whipped the above up very quickly while writing about The News. anyone want a copy?
Valentine's Eve in an American high school. i wasn't aware that it's a tradition to give sweets out. feel a bit guilty, actually. but hey! i got a box of nerds from my physics buddy. i've spoken to her thrice. what a darling. and i got chocolates from Emily and Wenke and Amanda-from-Speech and Gladdy and Arwen. and the bus driver gave us gum. got cards from Wenke, Felicity-from-Speech and Kay. fantastic!
not so fantastic compared to all the other girls at school, actually. roses, teddy bears (did you know that they were named after Theodore Roosevelt? i didn't), dozens of heart-shaped helium balloons... gah.
i was buying coke when a boy from speech commented on how cool my "wallet" was. i thanked him and he said "welcome, Lok" which i didn't catch, so he repeated himself, adding "we're in speech together." i knew that, but i didn't know his name, as i pathetically never remember names. so embarrassingly, i couldn't say anything back except something about happy weekends. Daniel, perhaps?
i'm going to a Valentine's Day party tonight. it's run by Interact Club (for community service) for something. Zaib just cancelled so i'll have to go on my own... Zaib, Gladdy and I spent all of Advisory trying to convince SB to come. he then walked around during APUSH pretending to get tissues so he could get the map and then pretended to go to loo to photocopy it. this is also the boy who dropped Laboni's rose for some girl to tread on, then refused to go back to get it. we'll see.
Non-Valentine's party in a friend's friend's house tomorrow. that's more like it - a group of bitter girls and videos.
