yay! a Fran from the people who do 45s merchandise e-mailed me back, so i'll be ordering the DVD definitely, very, very soon. hello matt hales-y goodness!

unfortunately, they don't have t-shirts anymore, which is sad because i'll never be able to wear the school colours (green and red) next year. that's not exactly a bad thing. definitely less explaining to do. then again, less shameless plugging of matt hales. but only 5. come on!

saw a weird film called city of glass. my aunt loved it, cos half of the story is set from the 70s to 97, which fills her with nostalgic happiness.

its got leon lai in it, which is not of the good. but the fact that he played someone called raphael was extremely cool. they all pronounced it weird though. shouldnt it be ra-fah-elle?

also of the cool was shu qi, whom i love. and she plays lacrosse in it, which fills me with happy nostalgia and relief. but she cradled all wrong.

story is this: 1997, leon lai (raphael) and shu qi (vivian) are driving through london (tower bridge and trafalgar square to be exact). they are obviously in love, so in love that they crash and die.

btw, he looks about 30, and her 20 something.

its canada or something. a 20 year old boy/man (this is the guy from beijing rocks, in which he dates shu qi, and youll find otu why that is so strange) is watching cnn and says:

look, its dad and hes dead! great, and your dad was 10 when you were born?

well he cant be a teenager cos next thing we know, hes flown off to london to get his dads corpse and whatnot. there he meets the daughter of shu qi. looks like someones been having an affair.

the film goes back to the 70s when raphael (cool name) and vivian were in university and they fall in love, blah blah blah clich-cakes.

my point is that R and V must have been 50 something when they died, because they were still together when they were in their early 20s, and therefore could not have had those children earlier. the make up people made no effort to make them look older (or younger). which was fabulous.

paradise was on last night. they play that film every year. but i missed it.

saw men in black. very cool.
