arent we all blind sometimes?

everone went football crazy today. don't get the fuss. its a bunch of people kicking a ball around. i prefer watching tennis. but, i guess its a patriotic thing. so, we had radios and portable televisions in school today. some teachers let us watch about 1 minute of the football. (our lessons start about 9:30 am) all the commotion just to come to the conclusion of 0 - 0. goal or no goal, we were in already, we're we?

we, the cool RS group, watched 'fiddler on the roof'. i love it. now i have 'if i were a rich man' in my head. also "traditioooooon! tradition!...... tradition!" at random intervals. jewish people are cool.

so i did the french oral today. hannah told monsieur 'mon dieu!' that she had a tennis match and asked to leave early, so he told her that she'd do the oral on friday. she thiought she didnt hear right, so she asked him again. same answer. so he began the orals:

"let's start with hannah."

"what?" hannah, sophie and i screamed. i said,

"us three heard you say friday."

"okay, you go first."

so i did. did it on housework. somehow managed to say that i wash the dishes. so he asked me why i dont have a dishwasher.

'mi cocina es bastante pequeno.' i thought. wrong language. and so i managed to forget wht 'small' is in french. took me about 5 seconds to realise: 'petite' cos kitchen is feminine. go me. then he asked me about the advantages of washing dishes. ther arent any, and i dont wash dishes. go lok, hole-digger extraordinaire. "um...i can listen to music while i wash the dishes?"

i dont actually know my oral mark. so far, out of all the other sections, ihan 72& out of 75%. lost all 3%in reading. it was a dictionary paper. had never heard of vocab in it. i did a lot of guessing. still, i got full marks in listening as, according to 'mon dieu!', i got full marks, best in year for writing. go me.

also, for eng lang, i got 74.6 recurring %, which can be rounded up to 75%. this means i got 0.6 recurring more than the year average. yet i figured that i'm ranked 5th. only five in our class got above year average. the top 3, or 4, cos 3rd was joined (which includes amy) was read out, so i'm the 5th. quite pleased. somehow got an A in the bully speech - 'dont suffer in silence, dammit!' although, according to the comment, i lost sense of the audience after the 1st paragraph. of six lines. at least i used paragraphs.

also, the coach broke down. it looked as if the wheel came out.
