arent we all blind sometimes?

had a really good day yesterday, everything was peaches... right until i realised i couldnt do my homework or understand my maths - trigonomical graphy stuff. i felt horrible for the rest of the night cos i thought that the water level couldn't possibly be a negative no. cos the water level can't be below the water level. with hindsight and the giving back of my hmwk, i have realised that the water level CAN be below the BOAT-SHED LEVEL. so my negative answer was correct. stupid, badly-written, incomprehensible math problems.

today.

2001 careers convention

which features a delightful picture of owls dressed up in clothes stereotypical of several careers.

the ones i highlighted cos i was "interested" were:

architecture (which was only available in the evening - ie now, while i am at home relaxing)

town planning (which i have decided is boring cos the stall was dull)

tv broadcasting (that was a joke, the only thing they had to offer were these bbc 'LDN' bags)

psychology

gap year teaching and projects abroad

law - barrister

law - solicitor

fact is - is was boring. everyone was in it for the freebies. i got 2 pens, one pencil, one badge and one fluffy thing with a hard hat.

freebie fanatics got magnets, 'LDN' bags, bouncy balls that flash, sweets, mouse pads etc. i didnt have the heart to just take them or the patience to listen to get given them. i just stood around. it was so boring. and i was so uninterested i didnt ask one single question. nada.

i have learnt that the only thing i liked was architecture. and that takes 7 years of studying.
