arent we all blind sometimes?

ahhhhhhhh. it's great to be back (online - has it been more than 24 hours?). but it's fucking fantastic to be back in Hong Kong, the hometown, the city of SARS. i'm a bit nervous about that actually, trying to run away from coughers on the plane and holding my breath in lifts. why do they breathe so loudly?

the 15 hour plane journey was terrible. well, ok, it was uneventful, which is really the best case scenario when travelling in planes. i finished my novel (Prey by Michael Crichton - very readable but a bit ffffffff) very early on and regretted not bringing the Iliad. i had to ration my iPod-listening, so much of the plane journey was spent listening to dire plane-radio. Jessica Simpson should stick to TV.

Starsky and Hutch was good, though. i have thing for Owen Wilson - it's the hair. Will Ferrell was excellent! "show me your belly button".

ooh. they had a CSI channel.

i was a bit too excited when we flew over Wuhan. i recognise dit in Chinese! but that's not the reason why.

i've already taken eighty odd photos - HK at night is particularly stunning - lights and water and lights reflected in water and clouds of smoke reflecting the light... we drove past my old school. everything is so close and compact that it's like a dream where you open a door and you're in a completely different place - because districts you consider to be separate from each other are in fact only a few blocks away from each other... i'm babbling now.

there are people everywhere. i'm going crazy.
