arent we all blind sometimes?

don't see Raising Helen.

the company - Wenke, Kay, Glenn and his friend from Dallas whose name i can't remember - was excellent, even though i was probably a bit too loud and annoying, as i tend to be when i see films in cinemas. i have also been away from human contact for so long that i couldn't control the words from tumbling out of my mouth. i digress.

to be honest, i am not likely to see Wenke ever again, so it was sad to have to bid her farewell. her, Kay and i talked on my driveway for a considerable amount of time.

it's not the end if i write.

i wake up gradually enough these days to remember my dreams. today was another one of those last-day-of-school ones and i was eating and talking and a tall aquaintance (so tall i couldn't see his face) ran up, ate some of my food, kissed my hair dramatically and ran off. i climbed out of a first storey window to join Frodo and Sam try to get past some cliff-dwelling ogre. we had to flee back into the school and i lost my bag, so i decided not to bother with lessons and find the school's resident gem expert.

having finished Pride and Prejudice, i wanted to move on to The Iliad and tried to remove the Great Value! only $4.95! sticker on the dustcover. from all previous experiences (WH Smiths and Waterstones), stickers such as these on books are made to be peeled off. however, this one left a very sticky film, so i i thought: doesn't alcohol dissolve things? clever brain! however, i only succeeded in moving the gunk around. i should have just stuck a Post It on it and left it. or, better still, left it in the first place. i've learnt my lesson now - Barnes & Nobles is stupid. i can't help but think that their Americaness is to blame.

i need to wake up at noon tomorrow. good night.
