arent we all blind sometimes?

this is like my fifth entry today. i have shitloads of homework to do, but the laptop is enticing me with oh-so-sweet promises of super-fast surfing. i have no will-power.

after the immediate success of Amelie in Lok-land, i very much want to see He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not (ou " la folie... pas du tout" en francais). it stars Audrey Tautou as a deceptively sweet stalker of a married man. wow, just like me without the self-restraint. fabulous. i would also like to see Happenstance, also starring the girl of the moment. actually, she's one of the many characters whose actions affect each other's lives. very fateful and lovely.

ooh, while i was vanity searching, i found someone with the exact same name as me! my alter ego is a little boy living in HK. (the beauty of my name is that i can change sex without changing it, which is very convenient.) anyway, here is his site. it's all in chinese, but go anyway to see him swim. the pop-up window asks you to put in your name so he can call you by something. if you enter nothing, he calls you "person of mystery". just so you know.

my name isn't common at all, but i actually know several people with slight variations of my name (as in one different character out of the three), so i have a nagging suspicion that my alter ego is really the little brother of one of the forementioned people. the names of chinese siblings generally have a theme or lineage, as though they are a series of furniture.

shower and sleep calls. good night.

oh dear, i also share a name with a burglar. found my name in the IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE HONG KONG SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION DAILY LIST [of criminals].

ok, i just found a very early homepage of clara's. this was when the internet was new and exciting, and fortunate children had homepages in which they introduced themselves (and their friends in the mandatory section called "friends") to the world without fear of people they dislike reading it, stalkers or paedophiles. good times. the point is, she said very nice things about me. (i seemed to be a very nice person at the time.) i love that girl.

wonder what time it is in HK now? 1 pm, i think. the problem is, i'm frightened to death about calling her. i have issues with telephones anyway, and having not called her for a long time... i'm a bit crap, really. clara used to call me an artist but i've always felt undeserving. a bit of right-brain dominance isn't much if you don't practice. take a look at what she does. her site is called yoakemae.
