arent we all blind sometimes?

hello.

well i slept in my new house last night. it's intereting how big it is. after a while i couldn't be bothered to walk around because it's too much effort. we now have a slightly bigger cool box to put coke in, but there's still no furniture, and we only had one tube to toothpaste so i had to go downstairs to my parents' en suite bathroom to brush my teeth.

all this empty new house stuff is very deja vu. i spent a few months in london in an empty house without any friends, amusing myself with what little i had. it's oddly liberating to be free of your possessions. makes you question how much you actually need them. but then you start hording again. sometimes i think thtsi whole movign exercise was just my dad's evil plot to rid my mum and i of our many, many things. he will never succeed.

did i mention that we have no television or internet? or phone line. so i amused myself at 1 to 2 am last night by watching the 45s live. and then got a stiff neck. think i should just sleep on the foor.

plus i have no curtains. and you know how i have an anal need to sleep in absolute darkness, so i thought, 'no problem, just put a black t-shirt over your eyes.' but i couldn't find one, so i had a khaki green t-shirt, which kept falling off when i turn.

so i woke up with only 8 hours of sleep. and had this Dole fruit cup and biscuits for breakfast. at least there were honky magazines to read. there's this little shop in hk that sells bracelets and necklaces made of strung together, brightly coloured glass beads. (like the red ones matt hales wore with the yellow shirt in the bouncy castle in the video of I Don't Know) anyway, they seem to be very cool, so i shall write down the address and go when i return to my birth city.

and i have to go to that Nine Lives cafe and pretend to be a band with wongsiu and minion sarah. we need guitars and things, though. i can be the lead singer. i'm sure wongsiu can teach herself the guitar relatively quickly. she's already grade 8 piano, percussion and better than me at the cello. no wait, surely she'd be the drummer. hey, minion sarah, do you play the piano or the guitar? we can really do this. maybe i'll get myself a tambourine and some maracas. anyone else want to be in our band? we need a name.

hey, i used to have a tambourine. it was a good, functional, pink tambourine. and i had i kiddie drum set and a muppets electric guitar, complete with plectrum. and i had a keyboard which really worked. even a xylophone. i could have been a band.

i was a cool spoilt child. i had a lot of toys. a lot of toys that i would like to have now. what happened to all my stuff?

<< more new house stuff... and my new band, of course. >>
