arent we all blind sometimes?

guess what i'm listening to? the voice of matt hales (big surprise). in Falling, which is in Nitin's sawhney's album, Human.

wow.

since i've had my iPod charged last night i've been listening to RUTH/45s and aqualung non-stop. i was pissed off at my falling asleep to RUTH so when i woke up in the middle of the night, i put on the 45s. and i tell you: good music is supposed to be listened to in the dark very loud with your eyes closed. you notice so much more. until you fall asleep, anyway. next time i woke up, i put on aqualung. then i fell back asleep and i woke up and ate breakfast. then i went back to bed and listened to the 45s. then i fell asleep and then i woke up and went out for dinner.

ice was broken with mon cousin (the french are so clever. you can tell that he's a he because i said "mon cousin", see?) which is good, because then i can ask him for bunking tips. also, he listens to radiohead, which is very very good.

this is the 6th time i've listened to Falling. i'm now listening to Waiting (O Mistress Mine), which is good, but it's not matt hales. vaguely related outburst: broadband rocks. i wasn't able to listen to this on my london dial-up connection, which caused me all sorts of grief. and now it's all assessable to me. this is a really good album. (positive, approving)mmmm....

...how can anyone not be in love with matt hales?

i don't believe i'm answering my own rhetorical question, but evidently, many people are not in love with matt hales. im so full of brown-stuff.

so goodbye. don't forget to read my plane entry by clicking the back arrows if you haven't already. thank you.

ETA five minutes later: i've heard Eastern Eyes before in some virgin megastore or sanity. that means that if i had stayed for two more songs i would have heard Falling. and i'm pretty sure i can recognise matt hales' voice. i better.
