so-called Study Leave today, so i�ll post some stuff i typed yesterday:
did one of the DT papers, don�t know which, not that it matters at all. i thought i was quite hard, really. my DT teacher walked in in the beginning when i was really struggling, got the paper, sat behind me to read it, left. he said in a lesson long ago that he was gonna send us clever DT vibes. i got no such things. however, as i am sure i have mentioned before, i only need 50% in the exams to get 80%, which is pretty much an A*. and i got 89% in my mocks. but that was easy. this was mean.
of the good was that my form teacher (also the nicest nicest person ever) was invigilating and smiled at me many times. and she gave us (permission to steal) stickers that say �fantastio�, � muy bien� and �trabajo excelente�
after the exam, everyone went on and on about it and paranoid voices in my head screamed that that i�d forgotten a page. so i had to get out. to go straight to DT. chess had to finish sanding and waxing her big fat table. found out that the moderators are coming tomorrow. they�re going to the boy school first, then us. and what are they making? deck chairs. original. my bedside table lights up, has a secret compartment and a removable lid/tray that you can write on in bed. how hope they like it.
also found out that my automata abandoned last year actually works. i will be finishing it.
now, more about my aqualung if i fall/live at the scala ep x2. the cover is ugly. matt hales is looking of the very unattractive. its a close up and by that we�re talking pores, wrinkles, a double chin and don�t even get me started on the hair. crazy. and what�s annoying is that the photos in the sleeve a fine. they�re bloody wonderful. pretty matt hales eyes. pretty matt hales smile. pretty ben hales hair.
the cds themselves are pretty wonderful, really. the version of �if i fall� is called the �rock god remix� which is just strange.
the remix of �tongue-tied� is very interesting. and i chose that word because the first time i heard it i thought the CD ended and i was listening to something else in iTunes. the beat has these tinkly bits in it, and i thought it was nelly furtado�s �turn off the lights� (which i don�t even have). listening a bit more, it turns quite craig david-y; all very laid back. my brain conjured up this image of a pretty, black R&B/soul sade wannabe, wearing some white hot pants and a drapy, slightly translucent top, whimpering into a microphone, perhaps with a little bit of neck movement.
i might have scared you there, but it�s really quite nice; all slowed down and you can hear the backing very clearly. one of the CDs is of a colour not unlike foundation. heh.
almost forgot to mention �nothing else matters� anyone who has been to an aqualung gig has heard this one. so everyone except chess and i, basically. i love it. the verses don�t rhyme but i love it. i feel obligated to listen to it on repeat so i know it as well as all the other aqualung songs.
my matt hales obsession just made me forget to watch buffy. bloody! and they cut the flaying of warren. however, bad girls is on tonight and we all know that kim oliver/mrs hales might be in it.
and i have no school tomorrow. you can just tell that i�m typing this to waste time until i go online, can�t you.
