i have just read ben hales� tour diary of The Gig I Did Not Go To, and there was no mention of noise at all. seemed very good, really. which sucks, and is also ironic seeing as i just had a conversation with amy about how everything turned out OK for me not having gone as the gig was crap. additional ironic value as i was also saying that it was all rollercoaster-y as a good thing followed a bad thing, followed by a good thing... so i should have seen it coming.

however, there was big fan-noise about the gig being noisy, which i latched onto, probably because of sour grapes.
