french oral today. i have been denying the existence of this day since i found out about it. which might explain why i only started revising at 10 pm last night.

after learning numerous words like am�liorer, se gaver, se buffer, le canap� (the spellings are probably all wrong), the only word i used was �tendu� (stressed/tense) and i used it before the oral started being recorded. i.e. i used it in small talk, which is great, but totally pointless. i did, however, work in �fois gras� and �cr�me br�l�e�. (sad fact was, i just typed �burnt cream� into the google translator because i didn�t know where any of the accents went.)

so, boys and girls, learn what �knife� is in french (couteau) cos you�ll never know. might crop up. in section 2, peut-�tre? if you don�t know, you might be forced to say �la chose qui coupe la nourriture� (the thing which cuts food) which is just fantastique.

i spent the whole morning fretting about it, doing french throughout my free. i then decided to get some coffee to keep me awake. malheureusement, seetay tried to rush me by buying her coffee which i was still putting sugar in mine, so she didn't get any sugar or water. so she poured her coffee granules into mine. which made SuperStrength! coffee. which we �shared�, with me drinking most of it.

donc, i was shaking all the way through maths. i couldn�t even pick up a bloody pen and write with it. let alone do a non-calculator paper. so i told everyone about my predicament (that my oral was in less than an hour). by the end of the lesson, i had about 15 people wishing me luck. cool.

i had no idea how i did. better than the mock? worse? je ne sais pas. my french teacher was so nice though. she was laughing throughout (i love that word), which made me feel pretty comfortable-ish. although i was nervous enough to start doing up my cuffs, which was a bit disturbing since i have never touched those buttons since i bought the shirt. which must have been back in 1999.

still full of caffeine, or the after-effects of. bio-set yogurt with cranberry/blackberry juice might look bad. but tastes good.

promised myself last night that i will watch matt hales videos when i get home. but i�m typing this at my mac, which doesn't have windows media player. dang. ben hales did update the tour diary, though. il est tr�s bizarre. matt hales videos are my porn.
