hey ticca, i was super psyched to hear you compare byron to les liaisons dangereuses because

1) when we two parted was my favourite 'love and loss' poem (is that even a good thing?) well its a good poem; and

2) i saw dangerous liasons the day before yesterday and cruel intentions yesterday so i'm all obsessed. i might have enjoyed 'liasons' more if i didnt compare everything with cruel intentions (like i did with emma and clueless), but it was amazing.

one thing is bugging me. in 'intentions', kathryn and sebastian are the same age, and in 'liasons' merteuil is (at least she looks) older than valmont so it shows that they aren't equal, but she has power over him. that's completely lost in intentions.

john malcovich. after seeing 'of mice and men' "deorge, deorge, tell me bout d-da ranch and the rabbits and the alfalfa..." who would know that he's a sexy bastard? makes ryan phillippe look (god forbid) gay.
