arent we all blind sometimes?

its over. all over. nearly. my english coursework is in. so is the big-ass math investigation. pretty cool cos i started at 9:30 pm last night to write up part 2 minus 1 page. part 1 was just 2.4 pages. part 2 was about 15 pages. i proved it and finished at about 1 am. pretty cool for 2 weeks work. okay, so i had it all figured out before.

unlike some people. (ahem. karen took the entire maths double to finish. so she thought to herself: why dont i make up the formulae that i havent figured out!)

by 2 pm i had brushed my teeth with a spasming left hand, gotten into bed, gotten all thoughts of n, triangular numbers, g, x, t, (g+1), arithmetic progressions, 1/2[n(n+1)], summation of squares and step stairs out of my head and fallen asleep. to dream of miryam showing me her investigation and me realising that i've done it wrong. then i woke up to the world of having the right maths.

doesn't stop there. i was selling my lacross stick, and all the uniform from 1st year. i fact, i looked exactly like i did first day of school in 1st year. i had my lacross stick, a big stevenson's bag anf wore correct uniform - i had to wear my blazer cos i couldn't hold it.

originally i was gonna sell the lacross stick for 20. mad persuaded me to sell it for 25 cos i've barely used it and i didn't write my name on it so it's clean. hope it sells tomorrow in open day.

talking of that, i'm not going. in fact, tomorrow is the embodiment of fun. i will awake at 11:30 to 'jack, jack, jack and jack'. then i will go shopping and buy some trousers that i might actually fit in for mufti day and the great london zoo picnic (we got to choose where we wanted to go. we chose dumbly. now we're compensating by organising a big fat picnic). then, i shall see spiderman (long last) with amy after she has watched the south korea match. then, weekly chinese restaurant. then home to angel.

bit crap that i have both chinese and cello this weekend.

everything i'm doing in lessons is so depressing. in RS, we did death and funerals and saw the 'four weddings and a funeral' clip where the guy dies and his gay lover reads out the poem 'funeral blues'. in english we did remember by christina rossetti - about a woman who tells her lover to remember her after her imminent death.

today we finished watching 'au revoir les enfants'. it's amazing. set during the german occupation of france in the 2nd WW, its about a boy's friendship with a jewish boy hiding incognito from germans in his catholic school. we were all shaken by th etradgic ending. i couldn't even eat when we had lunch right after french. the film is an autobiographical account of what really happened to the director, louis malle when he went to boarding school. he was julien. here's a pretty good review.

p.s. i'm pretty sure he wasn't just wetting his bed.
